Stella McCartney brought England to France with a beautiful Autumn/Winter 2017 collection showing at Paris Fashion Week. The collection was inspired by English equestrian and tailored silhouettes. Immaculate tailoring done in muted tweed’s and sleek fitted monochromatic looks graced the runway. The colour-way included sombre earthy tones such as grey, sand, and khaki. Checked patterns and prints featuring artwork from George Stubbs contributed with glimpses of colour to the collection.
The high collar was a staple piece seen throughout the collection and the symmetry of outerwear collars was experimented with. The strong collection also featured lighter, softer designs that incorporated sheer lace detailing. Overall Stella McCartney produced a beautiful and timeless collection.
